President's Day

Today, since it is the day of great presidents, I am grateful for the constitution. The writers of the constitution were so smart! They set up such a good system of checks and balances, and created a flexible but firm document that has grown with America. So yay for the Consitution, that even if the president is lame, they can't mess up America! Awesome! Ha. I'm also grateful to live in a democratic country where we can safely elect our leaders, and protest them (if needed) without fear. I was watching CNN and today is Pakistan's first parliamentary election - and I got so scared for the people of Pakistan, just a month or two ago Bhutto was assasinated, and I just am so grateful I don't have to worry about being bombed when I go to vote. Hmm, well yay for presidents. We have had some awesome ones.





P.S. I just checked CNN, and yay! no violence today in the pakistan elections, and no apparent signs of tampering with the results. I am so happy for them!
